Psychotherapy to build hope, trust, and resilience.

I am a licensed psychotherapist located in Durham, NC, offering therapy to teens and adults of all ages including seniors, from all backgrounds in various situations with different goals for treatment. I am LGBTQ affirming, fat-positive, and I provide therapy through a lens of social justice to understand and support the background and uniqueness of each individual.

Pain is inevitable; suffering is optional. -Huraki Murakami

Meeting with you in person or online, I strive to find a balance, reduce suffering, and create a non-judgmental space that encourages reflection and growth.

I believe that we have all of the tools in us already to make the change we desire. I help people realize they can tolerate difficulty and accept, or adapt and change.

If you're visiting this page, perhaps your pain has become suffering, and you’d like to find a way through.

  • Are you struggling with anxiety or depression? Or do you have challenges in emotion regulation? Do you have trouble with low self-esteem or accepting yourself?

  • Are you experiencing a transition in life? Grieving a loss or anticipating it?

  • Are you finding it difficult to build a life worth living?

  • Did you just receive a medical diagnosis and want emotional support?

  • Are you trying to manage life with chronic illness?

  • Or maybe you would like to share something (anything) that’s on your mind in a neutral space?
